ABOUT:

A teaching role that combines Geography and/or History with responsibilities as Head of Year requires a dynamic and committed educator who can inspire students academically while also supporting their personal development. In the classroom, the teacher delivers engaging and thought-provoking lessons that foster a deep understanding of human and physical geography or key historical events and processes, tailoring content to suit diverse learning needs. As Head of Year, the individual takes on a vital pastoral leadership role, overseeing the academic progress, behavior, and wellbeing of a specific year group. This includes coordinating with staff and parents, leading assemblies, monitoring attendance, and implementing strategies to ensure a positive and supportive school environment. Balancing both responsibilities demands excellent organizational skills, emotional intelligence, and a passion for student success.
