Appeals

Parents/carers of all applicants who are unsuccessful in gaining a place at Harlington school as a result of over-subscription have full rights of appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel established in accordance with the regulations. (Education Act 1980).

Appeals for 2025 will be processed on behalf of Harlington School by Ms Seema Kharbanda, Clerk to the Appeals Panel. The appeals process is undertaken online and parents are able to access the appeals form and upload evidence directly, without the need to post hard copies to the school.

Appeals Timeline

Monday 3rd March 2025: National Offer Day.

Friday 16th May 2025 : Deadline for lodging your appeal and uploading evidence using the on-line appeal form for admission into Year 7 in September 2025.

Thursday 12th June 2025: Deadline to submit all evidence – any evidence received after this date may not be accepted by the panel.

At least 14 days prior to the hearing: You will receive, the time and date of your hearing by email to the email address on your appeal form. Please check junk folder regularly so that this is not missed.
You will receive a copy of the paperwork you have submitted for your appeal, a copy of the school’s case and the names of the panel members shortly after this.

Week commencing 30th June 2025 : Appeal Hearings (subject to availability of panel members)

Within 7 calendar days of the last hearing : You will receive an email setting out the decision made by the Independent Appeal Panel. A detailed letter will follow thereafter.
